The Salou Sport brand, launched by the Salou Municipal Tourism Board, has been established to consolidate the municipality as the leading sports destination in the Mediterranean. This strategic positioning is built upon three pillars: elite infrastructure, a privileged climate, and an extensive calendar featuring more than 200 annual sporting events. The objective: to deseasonalize tourism and promote sustainable economic activity 365 days a year.

The City Council of Salou and PortAventura World have made public the agreement to present jointly at the tourism fair in Madrid, FITUR, a large format event that highlights the Mediterranean identity of Salou and to present the novelties for the next season of PortAventura World. The event “Mediterranean Heritage, unforgettable experiences” will be on January 20, 2026.

November in Salou is the month of the squid par excellence and for this reason it is essential to enjoy the Squid Festival, which this 2025 reaches the 50th edition, and various conmenorative activities are held, in addition to the Squid Gastronomic Days, to taste delicious dishes with this cephalopod mollusc as the main ingredient.

Neither the weather forecasts of rain and bad weather for Sunday September 21 have been able to spoil the Festa al Cel 2025 in Salou, which has exceeded all expectations with more than 300,000 spectators coming from all over the world to continue, facing the sea, surprising aerial acrobatics. Salou has conquered the sky, and that is why it already thinks of the festival of 2026.
