Salou's beaches and coves, including Llevant beach, Ponent beach, Capellans beach and Crancs cove, now have detailed accessibility information available thanks to a new interactive map.

To mark this astronomical event, Salou Town Council and the Salou Municipal Tourist Board have organised a wide-ranging programme of educational and leisure activities for all ages in the days leading up to the eclipse.

Salou City Council has once again highlighted the need for Catalonia to promote a specific funding model for tourist municipalities. The PortAventura Foundation has held its 15th Solidarity Dinner, an event that brought together more than 1,100 people and raised a total of €115,150.

Salou will once again host Festiuet on 17 and 18 July 2026. The music festival will feature some of the biggest names in Catalan music, including La Gossa Sorda, La Fúmiga, Figa Flawas, The Tyets, Ginestà, Els Pets, Buhos and Lax’n’Bust, among others.

The railway line divided Salou into two halves, creating a physical and social barrier in the heart of the town. Following the removal of the railway tracks, Salou faces the greatest urban transformation opportunity in its recent history: the Civic Axis.
