The Feast of the Olive returns to the Rambla Nova in Tarragona

Tarragona is preparing to host the Feast of the Olive, the next weekend, specifically on 29th, November 30th and December 1st is celebrated. The exhibition is organized by the Control Board and through Espimsa, along with Agricultural Cooperative Union.

The fair will take about 25 booths located on the Rambla Nova, in the section between the statue of despullats and Union Street. The placement of the stands is only one side, so as to facilitate the movement of people, since the rush hour crowds were pretty hard to visit during the fair.

Visitors to the festival can enjoy several parallel activities. In fact, last Saturday was held a Show Cooking with Oil DOP Siurana held at the Central Market of Tarragona. Meanwhile, on Saturday, November 29th, at 10 am, will be a popular lunch. Tickets can be purchased at the same Fair for € 2.50, or get free tickets in the stalls in Mercado Central, the week before the festival.

Draws to get Oil

Everyone who buys at the Fair, will be given a bulletin to participate in the three draws for two bottles of 15 liters each. The draws will be made on the same show on Saturday 29th at 13.30 and 20.30, and Sunday at 13h30.

Similarly, building on the framework of the Feast of the Olive 2013, Tarragona presents a culinary sample matched with oils DOP Siurana: II Gastronomic Days of Oil DOP Siurana, cooking different dishes.
