Salou, first sub-site to hoist the flag of the Mediterranean Games of 2017

Salou.Costa Dorada. Salou is the first sub-site of the Mediterranean Games of 2017 which has become the symbolic act of hoisting the flag that distinguishes the capital of the Costa Daurada as a town where some of the competitions will be held games of 2017. The act took place on Monday, 6 February 2012. Specifically, Salou host the sailing competitions, beach volleyball and triathlon. The act of hoisting the flag of the Mediterranean Games of 2017 took place at the Autonomous Communities, the presence of the Mayor of Tarragona, Josep Felix Ballesteros, and the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados. He also attended the council of Tourism and Sports of the City of Salou, Benet Presas  and Felip Ortiz, respectively. The Mayor of Tarragona city hosting the games, highlighted the excellent relations existing between Salou and Tarragona, said the 2017 Mediterranean Games as a project that "we all excited" and thanked the goodwill that Salou has always shown to be sub-site games. Ballesteros also said that in late March, constitute the International Organizing Committee of the Mediterranean Games. For its part, the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados said that the capital of the Costa Daurada  "could not remain on the sidelines of a major sporting events in the territory" and recalled that Salou has shown great ability as to host top-level sporting events, take place as soon the end of the Queen's Cup Volleyball women, but also hosted the Spanish championship for women's beach volleyball and other sports events of international scope. After hoisting the flag of the two mayors and the group formed by Felip Ortiz for Sports and Tourism, Benet Presas, visited the facilities of the Yacht Club in Salou, where will the sailing competitions, and the Sports Pavilion, since these two facilities to centralize sports.
