Abrasador opens in Tivenys the Braseria del Riu, fourth Grill restaurant in Catalonia

Tivenys. Terres de l'Ebre. The firm Abrasador, a family business headquartered in Toledo that has grown through franchising, has opened in Tivenys its first store in the province of Tarragona.   The name of the Grill establishment is Braseria del Riu and it is located on Riu Street, 1, in the municipality of Tivenys, just 12 miles from Tortosa. The grill holds about 25 people and, therefore, is prepared to take about 40 lunch and dinner services. The place is small but very cozy and with a familiar atmosphere. The restaurant menu offers a selection of Abrasador entrees that include Iberic jams, salads and specialties of the Braseria del Riu, plus a large selection of cuts of beef and other local dishes. The Braseria del Riu also offers a barbecue and grilled meat tasting menu to be shared by a minimum of 2. Moreover, the establishment also has a daily menu. Rosa Canyadó and Paco Melich, with their daughter Imma and four years of previous experience in the catering sector, manage the Braseria del Riu, the first Abrasador settlement in Tarragona. The launch of the new establishment, held this past September 23, 2009 was attended by the brothers Julio and M. Carmen Ramirez, CEO of expansion in Abrasador. The opening of the establishment in Tivenys is the third to be carried out in Catalonia. The firm has open grills in Lleida and Castelldefels and has opened a fourth establishment in Canet de Mar. In the rest of the state, Abrasador has presence in several Spanish provinces. The parent company also offers prospective candidates the option of opening their own business in franchise following the model implemented by Abrasador.
