More than 300 participants at the XIV Popular Triathlon Ciutat de Tarragona

Tarragona. Costa Dorada. The fourteenth edition of the popular triathlon featured a guest of honor, the athlete and Tarragon Councillor for Sports, Natalia Rodriguez. The Olympics gave the starting signal the race and thanked assistance to over 300 participants. The race combined the disciplines of swimming (300m), mountain biking (18km) and running (4 km). The tour, which began at Miracle Beach, passed by the promenade, the Seraglio, Jordi Torres, Francolí, the Devil's Bridge. The second and third ranked Marc Cadena (1:16:41) and Sergi Esteve (1:16:46) respectively, arrived about 7 minutes later or so. The novelty this year was holding a duathlon aimed at children. The children's race took place once the triathlon and was attended by some twenty children between 5 and 11 years. The organizing company, Nile Travel, said that to mark the fifteenth anniversary edition will introduce a surprise in 2012.
