If you wonder what to do this summer 2021 in Salou, don't worry. The Salou City Council has made a great effort to recover a very complete summer activities agenda, with proposals for all ages and for all tastes.

The main activities, schedules and venues are as follows:

Habaneras cycle. All concerts are at 10pm and with limited capacity. Access to the facilities will open half an hour before the start.
  • July 24, in Espigó del Moll, with the Xicranda group
  • August 1, at Torre Vella with the Sons de Mar group
  • August 28, in the Garden of the Salou Tourist Board (Paseo Jaume I, 4) with the Balandra group

Sardanas cycle
, always at 8pm and with limited capacity. Access to the facilities will open half an hour before the start.
  • July 25 at Masia Catalana with Cobla la Principal de Tarragona
  • August 22 at Torre Vella with Cobla Mediterrània
  • August 29 at the Garden of the Salou Tourist Board (Paseo Jaume I, 4) with the Cobla Mediterrània

International Music Festival. All concerts are at 8.30pm and capacity is limited. Access to the facilities will open half an hour before the start.
  • July 31, at the Masia Catalana, the ATL Piano Trio will perform, made up of José Adolfo Alejo (violin from Mexico), Ana Tukalj (cello, from Croatia) and Melani Mestre (piano, from Catalonia). They will perform works by Joaquim Malats, Tomás Bretón, Enrique Fernández Arbós and Ástor Piazzola
  • August 21, at the Torre Vella the Cantahualpa quartet will perform tangos, boleros, habaneras, milongas, etc. The group is made up of Nacho Guzmán (tenor and guitar), Fabián Rynolds (baritone), Alejandro Chelet (baritone) and Carles Salmons (bass).
  • September 5, in the Garden of the Salou Tourist Board (Paseo Jaume I, 4), will perform the Iberic Quartet, string, which will perform works by Eduard Toldrà, Ástor Piazzolla, Herny Mancini and Leroy Anderson.

Fora Stocks Fair:

On the weekend of August 20, 21 and 22, shops in Salou will take to the streets to offer their products at very affordable prices.
Fashion Salou: from 10am to midnight on Paseo Jaume I
In September, on the 10th, 11th and 12th. This proposal allows you to discover the novelties and new collections for the autumn-winter season of the shops in Salou, which move their shop windows to one of the most emblematic walks in Catalonia.

Espigón Market, open every day from 7:00 p.m. to midnight in the Espigó del Moll de Salou, until September 15. A total of 12 stops with all kinds of decorative objects, accessories, gifts, paintings, jewelery, costume jewelery, macramé and crochet items.

Bozzà! Acrobatic show at 9pm
On July 24 at the Masia Tous Gardens (calle de María Castillo, 1 in Salou), the acrobatic duo Baires Bozzà presents this show that combines circus, tango, theater and humor disciplines.
Family activities on the beach:
  • Llevant beach, family beach space until August 29 from 10am to 1pm and from 6pm to 7pm.
  • Llevant Beach, Children's Beach Club until August 31, from 10am to 1pm and from 5pm to 7pm

Sports activities on the beach:
  • On the beach of Llevant, until August 31, from 10.15am to 11am and from 5pm to 6pm
  • Beach soccer tournament, on the beach of Ponent from July 26 to 31 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Murielle Reig 7 night football tournament (solidarity), at the Municipal Stadium of Salou on July 30, from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
  • 3x3 Basketball in the square of the Autonomous Communities, on August 6, from 9am to midnight.
  • Playa Europa UD Salou Trophy, on August 15 at the Municipal Stadium from 7pm.
  • Basketball tournament from September 3 to 5 from 9 a.m. to midnight in the SalouCentro Pavilion and in the Ponent Pavilion
Municipal Library
The Municipal Public Library of Salou (calle de Ponent, 16) has prepared various activities to continue enjoying reading during the holidays. They are as follows:
  • Storytelling, every Thursday in July and August at 6.30pm. It is a virtual and face-to-face family and free activity for boys and girls up to 12 years old. A prior appointment is required at the Salou Library.
  • Lettering reader workshop, on July 27 and 29, at 6.30 p.m., to learn how to draw letters. Face-to-face and free activity for adults and young people from 12 years old. Prior registration is required at the Salou Library.
  • Japanese bookbinding workshop on August 3 and 5 at 6.30 p.m. Face-to-face and free activity for adults and young people from 12 years old. Prior registration is required at the Salou Library.
 
Exhibitions in the Torre Vella:
From July 23 to August 28 you can visit the exhibition of the artist Carles Pujol. Admission is free. Limited capacity. It can be visited from Monday to Saturday, from 6pm to 9pm.

Breathe Street Art
On the Paseo Jaume I in Salou, from July 24 to September 30,You will enjoy an exhibition of sculptures by the artist Martí Rom, inspired by the mythology of dreams to everyday reality. These are 18 large-format sculptures to discover in the open air while strolling along the Jaume I promenade.

Nits Daurades de Salou
The main festival of Salou will be from August 6 to 15

Feast of King Jaume I
A festival of historical re-enactment that commemorates the departure of the ships of the Catalan-Aragonese crown from Salou in 1229 to the conquest of Mallorca. It is celebrated from September 1 to 5.

COVID regulations
  • All activities have limited capacity by the regulations for the prevention of COVID
  • People under 16 years of age may access the activities accompanied by the father, mother or legal guardian.
  • The use of a mask is mandatory, correctly placed, covering the nose and mouth below the chin.
  • The hydroalcoholic gel that will be available to the assistants in all the activities should be used
  • Once the town is occupied, it is not allowed to move until the end of the activity or show
  • It is not possible to enter the venues where activities are carried out with food or drink
  • This activity schedule may be altered by the application of new restrictions. Municipal information should be consulted in advance.

In the presentation of the program of activities, the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, has indicated that "we are very satisfied with this program, since, thanks to the effort and enthusiasm of all the areas and councils involved, we have managed to recover the acts that we carried out before of the arrival of the pandemic ".
