Salou hosts part of the first International Ball de Bastons Congress

Salou. Costa Dorada. 26 September 2021. The first International Ball de Bastons Congress will be held between Salou and Reus from October 21 to 24, 2021. The two venues of this cultural activity want to bring together stick dances from all over the Iberian Peninsula, with groups from Catalonia, the rest of Spain, Portugal, Andorra and France.

On October 24 the activities of the congress will be held in Salou. In addition, the 46th National Trobada de Ball de Bastons de Catalunya will also be held in Reus on October 23.

The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados positively values ​​the realization of part of this congress in the capital of the Costa Dorada, given that "it is a very good tool to publicize our municipality and our great cultural wealth, in this case, through of the Ball de Bastons de Salou ". He also appreciates the collaboration of the Sal-i-Ou Association, which "does a good job in order to value our cultural heritage."

The Councilor for Cultural Services, Xavier Montalà, pointed out that "as the City Council, we will always support all the activities carried out by our entities related to the tradition and culture of Salou and the territory". And he has shown his satisfaction for "being able to welcome all the people who visit us with this event", as well as for "the great projection of the municipality abroad that it carries on a cultural level".
