The Record store day is celebrated for the first time in Tarragona

Tarragona. Costa Dorada. This Saturday, April 16, 2011, Record Store Day is celebrated worldwide for the first time in Tarragona, thanks to the record store Shiva Music (Body Bou 13-15). Throughout the afternoon (from 17 to 21 hours) will perform inside the store local bands: _Lecirke (Winners DO Tarragona DO Catalonia 2009 and 2010) _The Transistor Arkestra (winners DO Tarragona 2010) _Harrison Ford Fiesta (DJ Dabei and prudent by Don Simon y Telefunken versions) _Guillem Delavall (eg Coda and Psycho Freak Out) _Fred Secret (formerly Taylor) It will be a special event around the culture of music, live music, beer and chips for free. The Record Store Day was established in 2007 as a celebration around the more than 700 independently owned record stores in the U.S.. It is a day when the owners of the stores meet the artists and guests to celebrate the music. The celebration has now expanded to nineteen countries worldwide, and is now first in Spain. Shiva Entertainment is the only shop in Tarragona join the event. Special Editions The stores, all independent (not owned corporation, franchise or multinational), participating in Record Store Day offer exclusive special editions of vinyl, CDs and shirts that you can not find any other store. This year the list of records released expressly for Record Store Day includes works by artists like The Rolling Stones, Radiohead, Franz Ferdinand, AC / DC, Lady Gaga, Nirvana, Green Day, Jimi Hendrix, Fleet Foxes, Arctic Monkeys, Interpol, Queen, REM, Big Star, Gorillaz, Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen, Deep Purple, Deftones, Roy Orbison, Eric Clapton, Sonic Youth and many many more
