The previous mayor of Salou, Peter Grant, will continue to lead the municipality of Salou with the support of local groups of Convergence and Union and People's Party, the government forces enabling salouense to govern with a majority sufficient and stable as added eleven councilors out of a total of twenty. Both in its institutional parliament, the mayor Grandos Pere and the rest of the speakers agreed on the disposition of all local groups in making this a term away from the tension that has been so present in the previous term ended recently.   In Salou, the municipal elections of May 22 gave the following result: Convergence and Union (7), PSC (5), PP (4), Tots Units per Salou (2), UMdC (2) and RDS (2 .)CiU and PP form with eleven local government councilors and a clear majority, while PSC, UTS, and RDS will UMdC opposition. For its part, the head of the list of CiU and mayor of Salou, Peter Grant, and the team leader of the PP, Mario Garcia, unveiled the governing pact between the two sides signed an agreement that aims to provide the municipality of political stability over the next 4 years with a strong government should be allowed to work on behalf of the city and the public with thoroughness and honesty criteria. The covenant is based on four concepts: responsibility, loyalty, trust and cooperation, all with the goal of achieving political stability which would enable normalcy and stability to the city of Salou. The agreement also provides that the CiU municipal group will be responsible for the following areas: Land Management (activities, licensing, maintenance of city services and road) Economic Management, Employment and New Technologies. Tourism Public health Beaches, Environmental Quality and Sustainability (environment) Culture, Education and Events Sports & Leisure Youth and Children.   While the PP will assume the responsibilities of: Internal Services Procurement and Concessions Economic Development Trade Markets and Consumers. Public Safety Civil Protection and Mobility Social Action   The agreement also provides for the rotation of the municipality as follows: since the establishment of the new Corporation on June 11, until the last Wednesday of June 2014 will be proclaimed and hold the post of mayor of the candidate SalouCiU, Pere Granados. And from that date until the end of the term, will be relieved mayoral candidate PP, Mario García Vidal.   Cambrils, Vila-seca, Reus, Tarragona, Torredembarra This Saturday, June 11, 2011, have constituted the remaining municipalities of Catalonia, including those of the Costa Dorada. In the central Gold Coast, the pact CiU-PP has also been effective in Cambrils, for example, where for the first time a woman will be mayor. As Torredembarra, the government will continue again in the hands of CiU supported by the PP and a separate formation, while in El Vendrell PSC and CiU alternate on the City Hall.
