The Citizenship of Vandellòs and Hospitalet de l'Infant have had a real feast at the inauguration of the Cultural Centre Infant Pere, the building that includes the new public library, a theater-auditorium, an archive of images and a multipurpose room at Hospitalet. Please note that the name of this new cultural facility designed by architects Joan Jorba and Marc Carrasco ('Cultural Centre Infant Pere) was chosen in honor of the founder of the hospital medieval village of origin of the Hospitalet. The library, in fact, also named after infant Pere. It has an area of ​​942 square meters, spread over two floors: on the floor, there are areas for children and general space for group work and multi-purpose room, and the first in the warehouse areas group work and multi-purpose hall to host conferences and exhibitions. The theater auditorium has a floor area of ​​1015, 85 square meters and a capacity of 342 people. The shared spaces of the facility occupies 395.87 square meters. The existing tower tank in this space has been preserved and enhanced, as is the work of famous architect Bonet Castellana. Indeed, the name of the architect who built the estate of Hifrensa has been named the multipurpose room, said the mayor. The Councillor for Culture, Maite Boquera, said that the building was inaugurated today is the result of 5 years of serious work and constant (functional plan, a process of participation, competition of ideas, drafting and execution of technical project work). And the mayor has argued Joseph Castellnou why is constructed: 'In 1991 the library was built was used until now in the grounds of the hospital Gothic. This library, despite all the improvements that have been carried out could not get to meet our needs as a people and established the Public Library System of Catalonia. The Centro Cultural Infant Pere , located on the street Berenguer IV, will become operational on 4 April. The work has had a budget of about 6 million. The Government has contributed, in particular, about 655,891 euros under the Plan of library facilities.
