Reus. Costa Dorada. The Government has agreed to grant the Government the Cross of St. George in Reus´Lonja  for its historic role in the export potential of the city and have become a standard reference of agricultural economics and livestock in Catalonia. The awards ceremony will take place on April 21 at the Palau de la Generalitat. Successor and current manager of the traditional Sunday Market is the oldest institution in the capital of Lower Camp and this year marks the seventh anniversary. The awards ceremony will take place on April 21, at 19 am in St. George Hall of the Palace of the Generalitat. You can see other organizations and distinguished personalities here.   The Cross of St. George is one of the highest awards that a person can receive by the Generalitat de Catalunya. The award was created in 1981 (although not the first awards were given until the following year) to distinguish the natural or legal persons who, on their merits, have provided outstanding services in Catalonia.
