Calafell. Costa Dorada. Calafell will hold next Sunday, March 7th, the ninth edition of the popular Xatonada. The festival, organized by the Municipal Tourism, spread the traditional salad Penedès, based on endive. But the next day on Sunday preceded by the seventh edition of the exhibition xatonaires children, an initiative that helps transmit the local culinary culture to younger generations.   450 students of third and fourth graders have participated in recent days in preparation for practical classes xató. Schools belong to Castell de Calafell, Holy Cross, The Broom and Father Jacinto Verdaguer. The lessons were taught with the help of co-operation group of people "Put oil there." After touring the town some editions, the festival has settled in the Plaza Port Segur de Calafell. Route Xató is an initiative of the institutions and associations of restaurateurs Penedès to present the dish most representative and characteristic of the area. Currently there are eleven restaurants Calafell attached.
