At the Mola: forests, roads and outings.

 Starting the journey of Pradell de la Teixeta and continuing Tower Fontaubella, Falset and overlooked, we can see, the roads, the scenery offered by Mola Colldejou. From these towns, if we walk, we leave trails that lead through woods to the majesty of the Mola of 859 meters from where you can see excellent Miranda. We entered the Priorat region to the N-420, where we find, among Riudecols Falset and the turnoff to the Pradell Teixeta (TV-3223), town located about 2 km. It's a village that rests at the bottom of a small valley bordered by mountain ranges and Pradell Teixeta. From Pradell can be sighted the huge mountain of the Sierra de Mola and Llaberia. How much is assumed between nature, the possibilities are many walkers. One is to climb mountains and go Pradell by following the PR that crosses it. On the other hand, in the municipality has had an important prehistoric discovery: a tomb pit with all the furnishings, sepulchral chambers with five or six axes, shards, beads and pottery, among others. Interestingly, the originality of the parish church dedicated to Saint Magdalene (begun in 1771), which has an octagonal hall, unique in the Priorat. We follow the same road to the tower S Fontaubella. It is a picturesque village dominated by the presence of Mola middle of a wooded area, with plenty of fresh water. The most unique trip that we took in the immediate vicinity is the rise in Mola well as indicated from the same village. There is a footpath (GR 7-3) at the foot of the mountain that rises from the road T-322 Tower in Fontaubella Colldejou (3.5 km) and is indicated with a sign which reads "Way La Mola-Cut Middle. " Mola surprises us with its majesty with a completely flat top where a large landscape can be sighted on a clear day. Predicted the Mediterranean Sea, the head of Salou Colldejou, Monroyo and coastal towns. You can also take trips to the mountains and the village of Llaberia and Argentera. The following are people that will be marked out flat and fertile crops (accessed from the west tower Fontaubella taking the TV-3001). They are interesting baroque church of St. John and the museum of sculpture Lula Perez-March-Giné, which also includes paintings of local painter Josep Pique and Sancho and some findings from the Roman period. If we want esbargir us, we will have approached the beating (marked route), where the stream Brand gets deeper and there are several sources. If we want to enter more in the nature, we can go up to the Strait of Catalonia, or do not want to walk too much, just walk around the Miloquera. Then take the TV to the S-3002 to visit the village overlooked, surrounded by vineyards on one side and thick forests of the Sierra neighbor on the other. Overlooked is home of the famous Austrian patriot and guerrilla "Carrasclet, whose statue dominates the entrance of the village. We can see the church and get us to Santa Rosalia or sources of the Canals, a recreational area 300 meters from the village. For lovers of hiking, we recommend going to was a place of exceptional beauty where the river comes from the Valley. Take the local road to the 3031 TV-N-420, which continues to the right (NE) to Falset. We finished the tour Falset capital region, where we stop. It's very interesting to hold the Agricultural Cooperative, a 1919 modernist building designed by Cesar Martinell, Gaudí's disciple. Other attractions are the Church Archpriest of St. Mary, the medieval castle of the Counts of Prades, the Portal of the Ox, the arcaded square Quartera, the Palace of the Dukes of Medinaceli (1630), Headquarters the current City Hall, the Palace of the Counts of Azara (XVIII century) and the beautiful red rock landscape of the chapel of St. Gregory, 2 km Falset towards Reus. There are several marked hiking trails for the entire Falset that surely will love: the way of farms, the route of the Chapels, the Aubagues the Pinyana, the Sentius ...
