Tarragona. Costa Dorada. 14th August 2012. The coves Jover, Fonda and Rocaplana received the award for the second consecutive year "virgin beaches on the coast of Tarragona" that promotes environmental groups in Tarragona and the Ebro in Catalonia Ecologists in Action (TEAP-EeAC). The distinction is awarded to those beaches that have suffered the least of human actions, that the environment is slightly built, not suffer from urban or industrial spills and, in general, its waters have a good quality.   In Tarragona, are entities Platform Association and Long Beach Save the Environment The waterwheel which, like last year, were nominated. Thus, the Platform Save the Long Beach presented the beaches of Cala Fonda, Flat Rock, while The waterwheel Environmental Partnership decided to Cala Jover. The Deputy Mayor of Environment, Begoña Floria, emphasized: "the recognition of our beaches adds to the 4 blue flags for beaches of La Mora, Savinosa, Arrabassada and Tamarit. This shows that we have a coastline and beaches of great quality and we have achieved thanks to the good and close cooperation between the Council and environmental bodies in the city. "   Ecologists in Action has also recognized the work done by the social world by promoting the preservation of the beaches of Long Cove and Roman. I made ​​a special acknowledgment to the Aurora organization for its work in preserving a number of beaches of Tarragona.
