Terres de l'Ebre. March 7, 2013. The Tourist Board of the Province of Tarragona in Terres de l'Ebre participated this weekend in the eighth edition of the International Fair of Tourism Ornithology (FIO) - Extremadura Birdwatching Fair to promote birding in the region . Terres de l'Ebre were present for the seventh consecutive year as co-exhibitors at the Catalan Tourism. According to the organization, the exhibition held Monfragüe National Park, in the small town of Villareal de San Carlos (Caceres) has received close to 10,000 visitors. Unlike previous years, this year we have organized a series of workshops where professionals tourism brand Terres de l'Ebre has been actively involved in order to meet different market trends with respect to the product of observing birds. Some of the topics covered in these workshops were "How to get to French Market: Advice and Opportunity", "ECOTUR: ornithological tourism and rural housing, a binomial with great future", "view from Spain Sweden: Strong points and as aprovecharlos" and "Chile: Development of aviturismo," among others. Year after year, the FIO has been firmly established as a major European events industry. The event, organized in collaboration with environmental organizations and associations and tourism, has the aim of creating value and enhance sustainable tourism that respects the environment. The exhibitors in this exhibition belong to the travel and tourism industry, optics, art and photography, conservation organizations, books and magazines in nature, clothes and accessories ornithology among others. In addition, various activities were held parallel to the fair as a nature photography competition and activities for the general public, such as the ringing of birds, guided tours, workshops for children and 4x4 routes for Monfragüe area. Continuing the promotion of the birding, the Provincial Tourism Council of the Terres de l'Ebre participate throughout this 2013 in various ornithological tourism promotion activities.
