El Centre d’Estudis Salouencs reneix per recuperar la història de Salou

Coincidint amb la Festa Major del 30 d’Octubre, aniversari de la Segregació, la Sala Europa del Teatre Auditori de Salou (TAS) ha acollit la presentació del Centre d’Estudis Salouencs, una entitat fundada en 1990 que ha renascut aquest 2025 en el marc Salou Capital de la Cultura Catalana.

L’any 1962, en ple desenvolupament del turisme a Salou, el reconegut arquitecte barceloní Antonio Bonet Castellana va construir l’hotel Cala Vinya, al Cap Salou. Aquest 2025, i després de 20 anys tancat, l’empresa SunClub l’ha recuperat i ha instal·lat una aula d’arquitectura oberta al públic per divulgar la figura i l’obra d’un dels arquitectes més influents del segle XX.

Nova estació de tren Salou-PortAventura

Després de 3 anys d’obres, Salou ha estrenat la nova estació de tren anomenada Salou-PortAventura. Té accés per l’avinguda Joan Fuster, que connecta amb l’entrada de PortAventura, i pel passeig 30 d’Octubre, que dona l’accés al pàrquing de vehicles de l’estació. L’obra ha suposat una inversió de 15,7 milions d’euros, finançats pels Fons Next Generation.

L'alcalde de Salou, Pere Granados, defensa que l'estació de tren intermodal que està planificada a Vila-seca es construeixi al sud de l'aeroport de Reus, com estava previst al pla de planificació ferroviària de l'estat espanyol del 2001. Granados ha fet aquesta declaració després que l'alcalde de Tarragona, Rubén Viñuales, hagi trencat el consens sobre aquesta infraestructura i hagi demanat al Ministerio de Transportes una estació com la intermodal a la zona Horta Gran de Tarragona.
