The 4th edition of the International Theater Festival arrives in Tarragona with 12 shows programmed for independent theater and new dramaturgy and with a new section "Young FITT" and the new public prize.

Tarragona, Salou. Costa Dorada. 14 July 2017. The International Theater Festival lands in Tarragona, from July 14 to 23, offering new proposals for independent and alternative theater and adding other samples of dance and music to complete its programming and bet on all types of performing arts.
The 4th edition of the FITT, which will be held annually, will host 12 performances of the new dramaturgies and aims to make Tarragona a center of activities in performing arts to mix the city's heritage with culture and, In turn, integrate the spectators into each theatrical proposal.
In order to promote this heritage, the director of the festival, Joan Negrié, explained that the spaces of the exhibitions have been reduced to give priority to the comfort of the spectator and different locations have been chosen that represent the essence of the city, such as the Metropol Theater, Old Audience, the Tarragona Theater and the Cloister of the Seminary.
As new features of this edition, the days of programming are extended and more shows are added, from different places such as England, Italy, Hungary, Austria, Catalonia, Valencia and France.
In addition, a section is inaugurated, the "Young FITT", where 6 theater companies will interpret their new proposals during three days, scheduling each day two shows with dinner that will take place in the Metropol Theater. Subsequent dinners will be shared with members of the companies, promoters and spectators, who will establish discussions and dialogues on community-building representations. Besides, the spectators of these works will be the ones who will decide, through the new prize of the public, the winning company that will receive 3,000 euros and will wear the festival and Tarragona emblem during their theatrical tour around the world.
The FITT 2017, organized by the Sala Trono with the collaboration of the Tarragona City Council, the Culture Department of the Generalitat and the sponsorship of Repsol, seeks during these ten days that Tarragona is the epicenter to generate synergies between the companies and the promoters of The different participating countries so that they can be born international projects that carry the tarraconense DNA.

July 14th and July 15 at 9:30 p.m. - DIGNITÀ AUTONOME DI PROSTITUZIONE (DADP). July 23th at 7:30 PM - BE GOD IS. Antigua Audience: The Catalan company Espai Dual presents a show that combines humor, music and gestural theater with a proposal close to the cabaret room, where everything is worth.
