The City Council of Salou has approved the installation of equipment destined for the physical exercise of calistense in the Playa de Llevant. In this way it is intended to offer the possibility that Salouans and visitors can practice this sport that is practiced more and more. An outdoor play area will be created by installing several specific devices for the practice of this sporting modality that focuses on the interest of muscular group movements, rather than on power and effort. The word comes from the Greek kallos (beauty) and sthenos (fortress). The goal is the acquisition of grace and beauty in the exercise. Councilor for Beaches, Julia Gómez, explained that "we have begun the purchase of this group of sports games because a group of young people in the municipality practice this discipline and they had asked us for an area where they could exercise without having to leave Salou, "he pointed out. The games will be installed at the beginning of December.
Thus, in order to provide the beach with a new outdoor games space, the Equidesa Group SL has awarded, through a public contest, the installation of these 8 devices that will be placed aligned in the sand next to the dock breakwater and without preventing the passage of people, replacing the current ones that will move to the Long Beach and that will complement the current group.
Among the devices are a bench of abs; a triple push bar; a structure composed of 7 vertical columns, 4 cross bars, 1 hummer pullup bar and 1 Swedish wall; in addition to another structure composed of 2 parallel bars with a length of 180 cm and a distance between bars of 50 cm, placed at 50 cm in height; two parallel bar structures and a double bar composed of 3 vertical columns and 2 cross bars.
As explained by the Councilor for Beaches, this new lot adds to those that have already been built along the coast to improve the sports tourism offer and offer a combination of a walk-in area, a space for running and for lovers of bars; as well as adding new 'healthy' points to the City Park and Salou Ponent Pavilion. The amount of the action is € 9,637.65 with VAT.
