Reus. Costa Dorada. Central Market Reus has hosted a cooking show made with clementines from Terres de l'Ebre and the presentation of the booklet The Clementine table, two initiatives promoted by the Provincial Council of Tarragona to promote the citrus. The event is part of the draft Local Products Quality (PLQ), promoted by Independent Local Development (OADL), aiming to promote food from Tarragona area that have a distinctive quality and to disseminate, in this case between the Central Market in Reus, this citrus. Season starts now. The OADL has prepared this exhibition kitchen, live, by the chef and professor of nutrition at the University Rovira i Virgili (URV), Francisco Blanch. Customers at the Market in Reus could have witnessed how he cooked three dishes (a salad of lettuce with the vinaigrette and clementines, a duck breast with sweet and sour sauce with citrus cream cheese and jam with Clementine) and a cream cheese with jam of clementines. 350 tickets have been distributed for tasting, and has also been given a prescription of these desserts and a copy of the booklet.  Clementines Terres de l'Ebre have been distinguished with the label PGI (Protected Geographical Identification) designation that guarantees the origin and quality of the PLQ with a production so important to the region of Baix Ebre and Montsià. In Market Reus there are a total of seven stalls where you can buy this fruit. The ceremony, which took place on Thursday 29 October, attended by the President of the Diputación de Tarragona, Josep Poblet, the mayor of Bogota, Luis Miguel Perez Miguel Angel Lopez Mallol, Joan Josep Malras , Misericòrdia Montlleó, José Cid, Gustavo J. Cusidó Louis, Mercy and Thomas Dos Aguas Bigorre, also have been present Joseph Estrada, President of the Control Board of Protected Geographical Indication Clementine Terres de l'Ebre, and president of the association of merchants Reus Market, Rosa Costa.
